Cutting Down the Phone Tree
New Option Being Tested July 12 through September 30, 2010
If you have called any of the High Plains Library District
branch locations you know you've had to work your way through a somewhat challenging phone tree system.
This year, the Library District is starting a process to find a better solution to handle phone calls. Our goals for the phone system are:
- That callers will not have to use a phone tree when the
Library District locations are open.
- That any system tested will provide information to help
drive future decisions.
- That the system is sustainable for the foreseeable
future.
From July 12 through mid October, 2010, calls made during primary business hours will be answered as soon as possible by a person. When we are unable to answer your call, or if the person you are trying to contact is unavailable, a voicemail system will record your information and you will receive a response from a staff member within 4 business hours.
Please give us a call, get the information you need, and let us know how the service worked for you!
Want to get the fastest response to questions about holds, items checked out, or renewals? Use the My Account option on
www.MyLibrary.us where you can place holds, renew items and more!
Either way, be sure to have your library card number and PIN information ready!
