College Promise opening a whole new world
The College Promise is a partnership with Aims Community College, Greeley-Evans School District 6 and the Greeley/Evans business community. It will offer affordable college opportunities for public high school students in the Greeley-Evans community. Funded by contributions from area businesses and individuals, the College Promise provides financial support for qualifying students to attend their first full-year of college study at Aims Community College (up to $2000 per student). Because Aims offers both traditional college classes, as well as job-specific tracks, most students with the drive and desire to succeed could find benefit in the program. For more information about the program, contact Scott Ehrlich at the Ehrlich Family of Dealerships.

Community Invited to Talk with Board Regarding Possible Mill Levy Election for School District
A potential mill levy override election for District 6 will be the topic of the Board of Education's next Community Engagement meeting, to be held at 7 p.m. Monday, February 25, at the District 6 administration building, 1025 Ninth Avenue in Greeley.
Community members from across Greeley and Evans are invited to attend the meeting and talk with board members about:
- What is a mill levy override?
- What is the tax impact of a mill levy?
- What programs or services could a mill levy fund?
- How would this directly affect students?
The meeting format will be workshop-style table discussions that will allow participants to have meaningful, productive conversations with individual Board members and other attendees.
For more information, contact Roger Fiedler or Jason Hackett in the Greeley-Evans School District 6 Office of School/Community Relations, 970-348-6000.
